We – Klaus Heimbuchner, Markus Dorn, Helmut-Klaus Schimany and Stephan Jung – founded Onsite Data Intelligence in 2021 as an Austrian tech start-up. Reinier Coetzer and Peter Söchting joined our team of partners in 2024. We all build on more than 25 years of experience and are firmly established in our industries.

The story
Efficient and sustainable with strong partners
We have been working on digital transformation since the early 2000s. Back then, innovations in the transport sector included intermodal routing apps, sensor technology and modeling. When the idea for IoT Baseplate was born at the end of the 2010s, we focused on sustainable integration, a lean corporate structure with strategic collaborations and strong partners right from the start. As a result, Onsite Data Intelligence had a positive balance sheet right from the start and is still 100% equity capitalized and in the hands of the founders. Today, Onsite Data Intelligence is a sought-after partner in numerous research projects, holds two patents and has received numerous awards for its developments.
At the ITS World Congress 2021, we were named “Start-up of the Year with the Best Product Innovation” by ERTICO. Since 2022, we have carried the “PPPI excellent” seal of quality from the Austrian Service Center for Innovative Public Procurement. In 2023, GEWINN magazine ranked us 26th among Austria’s top 100 start-ups.
